Hi there! I'm currently a PhD candidate in the Research Training Group 2636: Form-meaning mismatches at the University of Göttingen.
My thesis investigates the form and meaning of plural morphology in Asante Twi (Akan) and Ikpána (Logba) and how it interacts with other systems of grammar, including definiteness and the mass-count distinction.
I am also a founding member of the Young Africanists' Research Network, a network formed with the goal of fostering collaboration and shining a light on linguistic research being done on African languages by early-career scholars.
When I'm not working on my dissertation, you can find me knitting, running, or on the phone with my grandma.
Check out my recently published paper!Ladore, M. (2026). The semantics of plural morphology in Akan. Glossa: A Journal of General Linguistics. https://doi.org/10.16995/glossa.17580.
